An easy two hour drive north from Toronto up 4-lane Hwy 400/1 1, it's a recreation paradise at nature's best. With a population of approximately 18,000, it is the largest and fastest growing municipality in the District of Muskoka. There is also down hill snow riding at Hidden Valley Highlands, snow tubing at Rock Ridge right at the top of Town, and miles of cross-country and snowmobile trails. World famous Algonquin Provincial Park lies just 30 minutes to the east along Hwy 60 en route to Ottawa, only 3.5 hrs. away. If you prefer art to outdoors, the Animal Art in the Park exhibit at the Algonquin Gallery, is itself worth the short day trip from Huntsville.
Huntsville is rapidly becoming popular as a golf destination resort area.
