In keeping with the
Mike O’Connor Memorial Tournament tradition, equal participation rules
are in effect for the U11 and U12 Levels.
• 3 Pool Games using Round Robin format.
• Every team guaranteed 4
• Semi-finals and/or
finals on Sunday.
• All teams must be
prepared to play Friday night.
• Canteens may be
available at most sites.
Skills Competition for U11-U14 Divisions with prizes
Guest Speaker with Marching in Ceremony on
Saturday. Teams are asked to arrive between 11:30 and
12:00PM so the Ceremony can start at 12:00PM sharp.
Skills Competition from 1:00-1:30PM for U11-U14 at designated
Awards will be presented to champions and finalist in each
division including an award for MVP and a tournament souvenir will be given to
committee reserves the right to move teams to different levels. Tournament
organizers strive to make balanced divisions and look to accept teams that help
meet this goal. The GCBA reserves the right to cancel hosting a division if
there are not sufficient entries for competitive play. Cancellation of a
division will occur no later than January 24, 2023.
All participants must abide by Basketball Ontario Fair Play
Affiliation and Proof of Insurance:
Affiliation numbers are required of Ontario teams. Proof of team insurance is
required of all non-Ontario teams in the form of an insurance certificate
issued by your insurance provider. The 2023 Mike O'Connor tournament will
follow Basketball protocol in regard to the allowance/participation of non-OBA
Registration & Fees:
$700 Cdn per team,
using the following payment methods – payable to: Gloucester Cumberland
Wolverines by cheque or money order, e-transfer to:

by credit card at the time of registration. All payments due 3 weeks
prior to the tournament start date, January 17, 2023. No refunds to
teams that withdraw 21 days or less before the tournament. Due Date of team
roster and fees: January 17, 2023.
