In keeping with the
Mike O’Connor Memorial Tournament tradition, equal participation rules
are in effect for the U11 and U12 Levels.
• 3 Pool Games using Round Robin format.
• Every team guaranteed 4
games.
• Semi-finals and/or
finals on Sunday.
• All teams must be
prepared to play Friday night.
• Canteens may
be available at most sites.
• Skills Competition for U11-U14 Divisions with
prizes
• Guest Speaker with Marching in Ceremony on
Saturday.
Awards will be presented to champions and finalists in each
division including an award for MVP and a tournament souvenir will be given to
each participant.
The tournament
committee reserves the right to move teams to different levels. Tournament
organizers strive to make balanced divisions and look to accept teams that help
meet this goal. The GCBA reserves the right to cancel hosting a division if
there are not sufficient entries for competitive play. Cancellation of a
division will occur no later than 21 days before the tournament start
date. All participants must abide by Basketball Ontario Fair Play
rules.

Affiliation and Proof of Insurance:
Basketball Ontario
Affiliation numbers are required of Ontario teams. Proof of team insurance is
required of all non-Ontario teams in the form of an insurance certificate
issued by your insurance provider. The 2024 Mike O'Connor tournament will
follow Basketball protocol in regard to the allowance/participation of non-OBA
teams.
Registration & Fees:
$700 Cdn per team,
using the following payment methods – payable to: Gloucester Cumberland
Wolverines by e-transfer or by credit card at the time of
registration. All payments due by January 1st, 2024. No
refunds to teams that withdraw 21 days or less before the tournament. Due Date
of team roster and fees is 21 days before the tournament start date.

Basketball Association is once again working with HTG Sport Services for
our annual tournaments. HTG Sports makes choosing a hotel for your team a
fun and simple process. By offering an on-line, real time reservation system
you are able to select a hotel, access maps, driving directions, tourist
information, restaurants and much more. Please click on the HTG link from
our website or you will be sent the email once registration has been
completed.
Teams will be notified of their
status once payment has been made, or at least 2 weeks prior to the
tournament start date, if payment has not been made The tournament
schedule will be published no later than 10 days before the tournament start
